The Maine Coon cat is considered the only longhair belonging to the United States. These cats have a powerful muscular body and the strong legs.

Siamese Cat

The Siamese cat is one of the first distinctly identified breeds of Asian cat. This cat was originated in Siam, now known as Thailand, and was not exported until the late 19th century.

Munchkin Cat

Munchkin cat or Sausage cat is recognized by its very short legs caused by a natural genetic variation. This cat is considered to be the original breed of dwarf cat.

Sphynx Cat

The Sphynx cat is a cat breed known for its lack of coat (fur). Cats with no hairs are a naturally occurring genetic variation. The breeding program began in 1966 in Ontario, Canada.

Ragdoll Cat

The Ragdoll cats were first born in California in the 1960s. This cat breed is a result of a mating between a white Persian cat queen (female) and a Birman or Birman-type tom.

The Norwegian Forest Cat's most distinguishing characteristic is their long, thick coat and large size. This cat's head is shaped like an inverted triangle, topped with heavily tufted medium-to-large ears.

Russian Blue Cat

Russian Blue cat is medium to large with an elegant, beautiful body and long, slim legs. The cats walk as if on tip-toes. The head is wedge-shaped with prominent whisker pads and large ears.

Siberian Cat

Siberian cat hails from Russia, where they are valued as a national treasure. These cats love their humans but are not shy around strangers.This cats are also known as Siberian Forest Cats or Moscow Longhairs.

Bombay Cat

The Bombay cat breed was developed by Nikki Horner a breeder from Louisville, KY, began developing the breed in the 1950s by crossing a sable Burmese with a Black American Shorthair.

Burmese Cat

Burmese cat are descendants of one female cat called Wong Mau, which was brought from Burma to America in 1930 and bred with the American Siamese.

Himalayan Cat

Himalayan cat is a cross-breeding between the Persian and Siamese. The cat breeder Virginia Cobb along with Dr. Clyde Keeler of Harvard, began crossing the Persian with the Siamese.

Manx Cat

Manx Cat has been originated on the Isle of Man off the coast of Britain. This cat may have hitched a ride on a ship to the island, spreading her genes upon her arrival.

Scottish Fold Cat

All the Scottish Fold can trace her heritage back to a barn cat named “Susie”. This white cat with a unique folded ears, working as a mouser in a barn in the Tayside region of Scotland.

Turkish Van
